When I was talking with Steve (Southwesterly) a few surf sessions ago, he pointed out the helicopter that monitors the Great White juveniles that have been hanging out around the cement ship in Rio Del Mar/Aptos.

They have been there in pretty large numbers for a few years now. Only a kayak got bitten a few years ago by a big one.

I guess the little GWs are more interested in fish and rays than seals and people.

Ah, yes. It all could be so very much worse. We'll kill another 10,000 today for soup, but they don't eat us. So thanks.

I loved the total circle jerk of news coverage. They had the same three pieces of information handed through four reporters. Ten seconds of information, an infinite amount of coverage. They look like such idiots.

Pretty funny that later coverage said the bites had a small diameter. Every bite just has to be a Great White for the media excitement.
