I Got My Baby Back
« on: May 21, 2016, 03:22:53 PM »
New frame, springs, swing arms, break and fuel lines, gas tank seals, exhaust system, ball joints, spare tire bracket and a whole bunch of hardware and a few misc wiring harnesses. I remembered that the shocks and struts had been replaced earlier when I bought it so we didn't do those. I paid for the gas tank seal, exhaust system, ball joints and an O2 sensor........feels like a new truck......very stoked... :D

Even more stoked that she's ready for tomorrow and I'm going to get wet.

no pic for me either..........I just got my baby back also......PSH 12'6 blew off roof rack.....cartwheeled in air and landed on nose on road wiping about 4 inches off the length.....then hit grass verge ripping out two fin boxes (had just put quads on it). All good now thanks to the experts (Sonic watercraft in Stanley Road)

While we wait for the picture maybe NZ can give us the back story of how the board came off his racks.

had it tied on adequately for 5 minute 50 kmh drive to town beach.....got there.....very small so decided to drive to a different beach. Hit the open road......doing probably 70 kmh against a 20 kmh head wind. Front of board lifted a bit and then "Kapow" it wasn't there any more. Was using quite a soft rope and the knots just went with the flow and slipped free. All happening in early morning darkness when the mind is filled with surf fever  :)

Oops....must have been because I just posted the image info from my Google photos. Here she is ready for action on Sunday....wish I could find the equivalent frame replacement as creek mentioned. Got my ass handed to me yesterday. Paddle outs were horrific with a weak leg and sore back.

The picture doesn't show it any different than she was. She is a tiny bit higher it feels and the body roll is decreased, stiffer all around I'd say. I should take a pic from underneath....all shiny and new.

Looks great, especially with that Foote 10'4" on the roof. Nice of Bill to do a complmentary color.

That is one beautiful truck.  Stoneaxe, what happened to cause all that work to need to be done?

Tacoma frame issues. Its been a long ongoing problem. The truck is a 2004. if it had been a 2005 they wouldn't have done anything for me. More detail here.

That's major!  I've never heard of such a thing.  Like when the frame is bent in an accident, the car is considered total.   I'm glad it worked out for you!
