This pic just blows me away.  His stance here would work well on any size wave.

All Stoneaxe needs in that photo is a pair of Jailhouse striped trunks to complete his Da' Bull tribute.

headmount having stoney in the lineup is always a bonus, not just for the intimidation factor but the stoke and fun he brings is always awesome... A couple years ago I was out with him and my gal in Newport RI and I'm trying to get her to catach a few waves that for her would be chest to shoulder and she was freeking out and of course I'm yelling and screaming at her to paddle into the wave and here is stoney all calm and cool coaching her into waves like a pro.... She tells me later Bobs a good teacher and I stink at teaching LOL

He surfs better than he says. I'm always surprised when I get to surf with him that he's progressed so far so fast despite his balance problems. Of course being his older brother I just tell him he sucks. What's really nice about having him around is that I look petite. But you should have seen our brother Dave. He was roughly the size of the two of us combined. I think he would have taken to standup. He was a water guy. Gone too soon.

I'm happy to surf at all. I still feel like a kook most of the time.

I had to laugh at pdlsfr's post. Try asking Sue what she thinks of my teaching. I think it all has to do with how close you are. She thinks I suck and my brother is good. Of course my experience with my bothers "teaching" is do this dangerous thing and if you survive your OK.

You yell stuff at her, I'm too scared of her to do that.

Lookin' solid, stoney!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"
