Rawson 8-8

Anyone have any experience with the Rawson 8-8.  I am thinking about buying one but I have not ridden it.

I really liked the 8'4. Can't go wrong with a Rawson.

Had the pleasure of owning two Rawson customs - an 8'2" SS and a 9'4' Raw 1. Tremendous boards.

The 8'8" is the same planshape - Impala SS - as my 8'2. Excellent in every way!

I rode OCSurf's new Rawson 8'8 this morning and loved it.   

The Rawson board seems to have everything.  It's light, pretty stable yet turns good and catches waves easy.  It also has a lot of glide compared to the 8'5 I was riding.  Dang!  I gotta quit riding Mike's boards, every time I do, I want one. 

Waves here in Newport were shoulder high on the biggest sets, peaky, surprisingly clean, despite SurfLine predicting poor conditions.  Almost nobody out for dawn patrol.  Coffee afterward at Newport Coffee, talking boards and spots, and a nice bike ride back home.  Good day all around.

This 8-4 has been a complete success. Just like Zoo states the total package. No learning curve either. And the glassing is high quality. One of these days some vid.
At ~120l with my 195# I reserve it for clean conditions.
