Stand Up Paddle Outrigger
« on: April 25, 2016, 08:39:55 AM »
I have completed the second prototype of SUPO incorporating some of the feedback I received from forum members.  I have simplified the design by making it smaller (it is now 12' long) and eliminating the rudder (turning is accomplished with the pontoons/amas).

Yeah very cool, I can only imagine how long and how much work it took to get it where it is today, well done.

I would love to see how it goes riding bumps on a downwind run.
Aloha, I welcome and appreciate all responses of positivity and good feeling.

Are those propellors at the rear of the amas?

I think they may be circular fins as used by some geezas in the seventies?

Those are prop guards.  There are two sets of amas, one pair is motorized and the second pair is not.  You can see this in the video.

Looks like you've done a hell of a lot of work. Challenging market, I wish you well.

Intéressant ! But for the French market I don't recommend the name "SUPO"  or suppo...

Very very cool, nicely done. Only thing I would say is make the standing platform longer. I would think you would still want to trim front to back and for fishing you would want more deck. Taper it back to the ama support and towards the nose.
