Plastic Free SUP Events

DontRideThePlasticTide:
Check out this inaugural event Plastic Tides is hosting in Bermuda. As part of our Paddle Against Pollution race series we're setting the bar for plastic free SUP eventing. It's a disgrace to see the beach littered with plastic water bottles and the like such as during the Pacific Paddle Games and we're sick of it!

Join Plastic Tides in Bermuda this Memorial Day weekend for the first event of it's kind: The Devil's Isle Challenge https://paddleguru.com/races/DevilsIsleChallenge will test padders abilities in a full circumnavigation of the island. Paddle it solo, or team up in a relay of 4-8.

If the big paddle isn't for you. No worries. This is a two day event. One day is circumnavigation, while the other will have a shorter 6 mile race around Somerset Island as well as plastic pollution and sustainability workshops such as beach clean-up, trash art, and a hands on permaculture experience. Plus there will be a short kids race, music, SUP limbo, 360 challenge, and a tournament style tandem race with LIVE Watersports Catamaran SUP's. In short, it will be an action packed day with good vibes and fun for all.

This event is all about raising awareness of plastic pollution and the everyday solutions to the issue. As paddlers we all need to take stand for the environment through our everyday words and actions to protect the places we play. Proceeds from the event will support a free paddling program for Bermudian youth which will help to inspire the next generation of ocean advocates.

The team at Plastic Tides is helping make a trip to Bermuda more affordable. We have onsite camping for $50/person for the long weekend as well as discount codes for flights and motor bike rentals on island. We're suggesting people bring inflatables, but if you'd like to come with a hard board we can point you towards the best options.

If you have any questions please reach out to us at info@plastictides.org WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!
