Fun wave with repaired paddle
« on: February 11, 2016, 05:54:40 PM »
Here's a one wave vid with the repaired paddle and newly reformed sandbar. Hope the bar builds a little more and resists more El Niņo NW destruction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcK42AeaMOo

I'm gonna put in a couple of pics especially for JimK from Extreme Windsurfing who advised me to use my paddle for leverage in turns. Here's the first time I ever tried switching hands for backside bottom turns. I have a lot to learn, but I'm trying to work in the advice, gonna really help when it comes natural.

Paddle transfers confuse me! It's like you hafta think about doing it in advance and also think about the turn itself. I struggle doing it backside especially. You look ahead of the curve which doesn't surprise me considering the hurdles you've overcome. Keep strong, Feral!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

That looks great, you're paddle surfing, not surfing while carrying a paddle.
The more you do it, the less conscious it will become.
