It Still Happens...

Very fickle Calif. reef that hardly ever breaks.  It broke today and I surfed it most the morning with just me and two sea otters ;)

Looks like a production Footie you got there.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Miss Cardiff! My new love!  :-* Looks quite similar to what I've been looking at lately! Those are crazy fins!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

I was, I like the look of them. Looks like connectors in the back and a nubster in the middle, but what are those front fins?

Donald Takayama Halo fins?

"Donald makes 14 different size halo center and side fins for endless combination and experimentation."

Hmmmm....no...something like them but somewhat different.

Pro Box Larry makes some similar ones:

Interesting to hear what they actually are.

Subber ... you got it!

I took the Takayama Halo fin templetes from an old 4 3/4 high set from about ten years ago. Rainbow Fin Company made me a special order Fiberglass pair of 5 inch high Future box Halos.  You can't find Halos in Future fin boxes anymore.

I love em.  They loosen up the tail of the board , goes rail to rail easier and paddles into waves faster…go figure?
