Amazing drone POV piloting skills
« on: January 27, 2016, 11:17:54 PM »
Here's one for Pono and other drone pilots. I've little experience but know via you guys how tricky drone POV flying can be. Enter the generation of kids who grew up spending hours a day on video games.

Cool stuff.  Really cool.

Here's how you can get started $80 from Target.  HD SkyViper.  Simply stunning for the price:

It's not that hard.  You started out with the small durable plastic one before racing on the racing one as shown.  A group of guys raced Saturday and Sunday at El Dorado Park in Long Beach

Betting on packing the stands with screaming fans?  Really?
You can barely see them as they whiz by, and there is no danger, you'll need danger to make the fans show up.
Maybe strap little bunnies or kittens to them or something.
Maybe drone to drone rockets to take each other out during the race, but they'll need something, that alone won't do it.
I'd rather watch battle-bots, now that's inventive.
It takes a quiver to do that.

Put paper streamers on them for air to air combat like model airplanes

Nice piloting, but who in the world is dumb enough to think this could be a spectator sport.

Love this clip!

Ironically, it would take more man hours to train a raptor than to build a drone...

The drones that isis is worried about would suck up an eagle and spit it out.
