"Tardis"
« on: December 26, 2015, 10:13:08 AM »
I have named my touring board "Tardis" because it transports me to amazing places.

There is no "off season".
Paddling delivers magic like this all winter.

Take your board off the rack, place it on the water.... and ease into the slow lane.

A new board Rick?

Which one is that?

After surfing the with AkeG today, I took a nice flatwater paddle on the Ogunquit River.

(Replaced in 2015, by the 10'11 x 34" Surf)

Nice stable, winter cruiser.... great glide and much lighter than my last winter's flat-water board.

Ha ha cheaterboy.... that WAS winter.... Dec 26th to be exact :)

I came home after the east coast trip to find it snowing 4 days straight in April.... so I left again
and went South..... Wrightsville Beach for the SUP Pro Am, now further south in Myrtle Beach.

In shorts. Trunking it. NOT going home till it warms up.

Hey, Creek, you don't want to go soft and decide to live in Florida, Hawaii, or, God forbid, kooky California.

Creek, I was hot out at CGB today, no wind, glassy waves well overhead and an actual sun.  Of course it may have been because I tired out my gooru vest for the first time (like I said, the sets were big and no one else out.....).  Add that to the 4/3, hoodie vest and I was overheating.  See you out there, when you get back.

Not trunks yet?
I'm staying here  8)

I miss you Davey boy... and these road trips really make me appreciate the awesomeness of our waves and conditions on Cape Cod.... truly soiled we are....but I want to ride some of my lower volume boards now.... I can't wait till June.

Have "Dave's place" all sandbarred up for me when I get home :)

The "new" left was closing out, but the bar, and more importantly the channel, down to the South was working.  Even though sets were crumbling on some of the (far) offshore bars at high tide, there was still a channel to get out.   Tried to choose waves carefully, but did find out that I liked the gooru after one particularly nasty bomb.

You know what else comes up from the south, when the water warms....
