That's a gorgeous board. Absolutely fantastic. I'll have to bribe you so I can try it someday haha!

Those photos aren't taken in the environment I associate with UL Bullets. It actually looks a bit odd. Nice, but surprisingly odd.

Had the first proper downwinder a couple of weeks ago, Hayling to Dell Quay. It really does fly. I was getting the longest rides I've ever had.

Today was on the cards but with gusts up to f10 and 16 foot out in the channel I decided to paly it safe.

Being hollow gives it a totally different feel. To me it feels much more like one of my composite canoes than a board. I can pick it up with one finger.

Ooh. I know the feeling. You won't regret it. Ease her in gently to those full on, white knuckle downwind rides she's designed for.  :)

I'm not meaning to hi-jack this thread, but just curious - that looks like a Werner bent shaft paddle you're using??? If so I was wondering which model Werner it is and how you like the bent shaft?

Yep - Werner Bent Shaft, cant remember which one, Fuse I think. For me the bent shaft is better for cruising, gives a more upright stance. Its not as light as my QB or ZRE though.

Great board. I have to check out the hollow construction. Molding seems like a crazy process.

Hollow is the future I'm sure.

Air is very light and there are certainly a lot of advantages for fixing when damage is done but I do like the idea of something that floats even when the unexpected happens out at sea...

That's always the question :)

Glug, glug glug........ To the sea bed!

I've yet to hear of this happening, but there's a possible solution. ;)

Take a life raft! :D

In fact, I have decided that a Packraft is now on the kit list for my circumnavigation of the UK. These things are tiny and what could be better than having your own life raft if all else fails? :)
