For those in cold climates, the Quiksilver Heated Vest is gold.  My wife got me one for Christmas a few years ago.  Not cheap, but glorious.

I was out in 1 C/34 F this past weekend.  Out in the waves, for the most part, I was working hard enough that I didn't need to turn it on.  But during lulls and when I came back to the beach and was waiting for my friends, it was sooo nice to warm up.
