I had spoken to him a few years back and he had moved to LA of all places.  He was skiing local and taking up surfing.  Clint Fiola  quit skiing basically, he's racing and building motorcycles. I heard rod adams had finally destroyed his back and is not skiing as well.  All those guys skied hard,,starting to show,,hahaha. I feel it going down stairs everyday.

Sage is still killing it though.  He rips on a snowboard and skiis

I see the conversation has slipped from the flippy spinny sh*! to hardcore shredding. Nicely.

sat next to micah like 20 yrs ago on a flight to slc (they were on rte home from a shoot in the dolomites)—he was thrilled he’d finally gotten health insurance via tgr!

hope that he’s not in their lineup anymore doesn’t mean he got injured.

it’d be nice to hear he aged out and has settled in to an active good life somewhere.

hahaha, I know Micah. Met him in the Alps. Had no idea who he was when we were introduced, asked him if he was Finnish. We ended up partying a few [too many] times. Damn he is wild. Both on snow and off. I’ve met Klassen many times too. He ripped the Extreme events here in the alps head and shoulders above others for years. Class act.

Ripper alert: check this young guy out. Jérémie Heitz. Met him ripping stuff up when he was like 15. I was impressed a kid was pulling speeds like he was on serious steep stuff. Just ridiculous. I bumped into him later that day and started chatting. He told me he was a Swiss jr ski team downhiller but was too small to have a real DH carrier. He liked extreme skiing so he figured he’d focus on doing extreme stuff fast. 5 years on… He’s had success on the World Freeride Tour and now he’s beginning to live the dream he told me about that day. So stoked to see him do it. This guy is pushing boundaries on extreme skiing. Take a look.

just came out

and …

That is Epic skiing! Vertical drop means something completely different to those boys. I've stood on the edge of some serious cornices, in bad weather in my day. The kind were your nuts end up in the back of your throat, but nothing like that. I got that feeling just watching that video. A level of skiing for the the young, talented and crazy.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

I will throw this up here. Looks like the "full movie" streams free today and tomorrow (thru 12/2). Seemed like about 15-20 minutes long. Not too shabby and I think can be informative and entertaining for all. I couldn't get it to rewind but it would pause.

That's pretty damn cool.
Talking to my kids I remembered this thing over the weekend. It's pretty funny but not really epic. Check out 4:45 or so or at least watch the first five minutes. Trust me, it's worth it to watch at least the first 5 minutes. Jethro rules.
There was a trailer of some sort kicking around but darn if I can find it online. I think it's kicking around the house on a disc somewhere instead of online but I don't remember how that went.

I like this follow footage from up at Baldface Lodge in Nelson BC.  As close to being there as you can get while watching.

67 inches of fresh in the last 72 hours on Hoodie.  Cold, light POW.  Bachelor is boasting 232 inches since October.  This is shaping up to be one for the record books.

Ran across this. I thought it was pretty epic........and fun to be sure.

Then this was in the sidebar tho not too epic.
A bit old and I had no clue about the contest. I hope the kids above got in the money. Looks to be the same year.

Yes, another. It's January. What can I say?

I found this little ditty pretty fun and entertaining. (really like the tune too)

This dude is pretty epic. I saw this part last year and I found the above trying to find this again. Actually had forgot he was snowboarding.

ok......then this was in the menu to pick from. Sorry tho, didn't appear to be a board in the bunch.
Looks pretty damn epic to me tho. (give it just past the first minute)

what the hell. lets do this too.

While I agree 100% that Travis and crew make epic "films" - there is also currently a need to portray snowboarding for what it truly is = FUN.

The giant back country booters / the monster sized park jumps / the gymnastic style of riding / etc. are great to watch - for a few minutes - but they are driving the potential newbie away from the sport.
Sorry for the mini rant.
Don't be sorry.   I saw this recently and it made me chuckle. I thought of you and thought you might as well. Only one I have seen so far. After seeing Yugi and Muskoka talking about change for a nickel the other day while checking out 14' boards I figured time to post it. I sent it to a bunch of friends when I took the picture. Everyone seems to want one. Tho I don't know whose sled it is I know lots of the crew where it was and rather fitting in lots of ways.
There is something about looking at the lines on a board tho isn't there.
