Great fun! Excellent coverage. .... as usual.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

That's a really good video. It looks like a great event.

It's funny - the shape of board I'm most drawn to out of all the huge variety on show here is the 2010-11 (presumably) Mk1 Naish Glide... Sometimes when I get on these "old" board designs I wonder how much we have really progressed in the last 5 years or so. I took out an old Angulo Shaka 14x30 of about the same vintage the other day after having not ridden it for 2-3 years in a 35-40 knots downwinder and was amazed at how good the big old beast was. Boards have got narrower, and a little bit lighter. But they have also got more fragile, more expensive, less user-friendly, and there is less choice in terms of length. The only unambiguously positive advances have been made with inflatables IMO.

But the Q we are all dying to ask you DJ is "if you didn't spend your time clowning about and videoing dogs etc and actually tried to paddle your best in these races, how do you think you'd fare?" haha!
