I guess 2nd half 19th century, 1st half 20th century.
The houses are, as in other sites resorts, to three groups: the hotel transposed into coastal zone, the small apartment building for rental home and medium-sized or small. The location facing the sea, although significantly behind the coast whose beauty, so they are not arranged, was an asset, characterized the first buildings, isolated, enjoyed a view over the Atlantic.

Sunday, I was at rest, no surf. The spot gets crowded. Either the local surf champ didn't see the SUPer, either he's upset with so many SWeepers. I don't know. What I know is that there is two other peak a little further, this is where I will go next time.

Gwen has got so many boards but I always see him riding the SUP board. Beware! As you can see up above, he is ripping now!

Nice shots Cloclo, overhead size on this one:

THe spot is "la c******e ", isn't it? It must be hard to get out of the water there.

Yes TiltP! the background is very important on  a picture. Many painters saw it also, the most famous is Paul Gauguin (XIXth).

may be it was too cold here because later he went to live in Tahiti where the light is better and the girls are beautifull.

Yep it is la chap, it is usually difficult to get in and out, especially when it's big or when the tide is too high.  The most difficult part is to walk down on the big rocks with the board. This day I went straight during two set, I had enought time to get in and paddle away from the rocks.
If it's to difficult I go in 1km south and paddle. Wink
Gwen is good, like any good longboarder and surfer, it doesn't take too long to improve if you train, it is gonna be interesting for the next contest !

Hey - that's me - cool!

Had another great NY week in La Torche area.
Not quite as big (or warm) as last year - pity not to get in at P.C.
Here's another pic from same session.

Happy New Year all.

Bill.
