I got hit on the head with my board five times this weekend, glad for the helment.
The Rare Earth Magnet in Your Board and the Metal Plate in your Helmet might have something to do with the attraction.

I'm glad I saved my head-banging helmet from childhood.  It's like old times, tethered with a head-banging helmet after eating too much chocolate.

Surfers are going insane at Steamer Lane today.  The closeouts have turned into rolling shoulders.

Newport was not a zoo today but... I've been riding a long board or a 6'8" HPSB for the past 2 months and giving SUP a break. Anyway, I was long boarding in Newport this morning and there must have been 5 SUPS around. Looked like south side was the call and they just paddled through the north side.

So was this any of you?

I was out by the pier this morning.

I haven't been on my SUP since,,,,, the last time I saw Zooport. I was kinda worried that if I can even balance myself on the board.

Santa Cruz has been pretty flat lately, but blazing beautiful with sunshine, clear water, and critter feeding frenzies.

I had enjoyable sessions Thursday and Friday with infrequent waves, but increased flatness led me to take a cycling tour today instead of SUP.

I'll go out tomorrow even if flat just to stay wet and continue balance practice.  Maybe paddle from Privates to Pleasure Point and annoy the SUP haters.
