Early October LBI Morning
« on: October 10, 2015, 08:51:13 AM »
Dislocated my finger on 9/28. Nursed it for about a week b4 deciding to brave the swells from Hurricane Juaquin. It was a little unnerving at first in Long beach, NY on 10/6 so the SOLOSHOT stayed in car. Same on 10/7. But by the third day I was confident w/the injury sooooo....caught the tail end of the Juaquin swell footage here from 10/8.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

I found myself mesmerizing on those long rides. Flashbacks to teenage 70's surf flick night at the American legion hall in Babylon LI.

That secret left point in NJ was getting the perfect direction from Joaquin.

Dang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You SCORED!!!! Rad video! Thanks for the stoke. If waves still good tomorrow, gonna try and sneak out for 2 or 3 waves before the wife wakes up. She will freak, cause I'm sick as a dog. But stir crazy. Here's from my stir-crazy ADD self 2 days ago, shot with a camera from Wetstuff, from my porch by my sweetie. I skate sometimes with a bunch of mexican punk-rock skaters from TJ and they were all asking about me cause no one had seen me for a couple of weeks, so I made this for them. They endlessly quiz me on "old-school" skating and punk rock. Cool bunch of misfits. When I moved to Mex., I didn't seek out American bingo night. I paid for this short vid edit with much loss of lunch. I also use the skate to bring back the (only) bottled water to drink here, the 5 gallon "garrafon" and 4 days ago, was so sick I stacked horribly on the other little hill returning to my house. Lucky no x-rays there. Still feeling it.
