IP54 is just protection against a liitle rain or splashing...immersion would likely fry it.

Interesting concept. There is a pro photographer here in San Diego that mounts his camera on a tripod and takes pictures of a scene every hour or so. This way he gets the same scene with different lighting. He then blends the photos together using Photoshop's blending mode. Similar, but blended lighting rather than focus. I wish I could find his website.
