I have not paddled anything other than a surf SUP for the past 4 or 5 years, but I just rented a 14'er and entered the 60+ three mile race. Guess I better start training.

I'll be there. Probably doing the Sunday 6 mile distance on my 14' frankenboard, unless I can borrow a narrower one race day. There are a lot of people from other parts of the world training out there already. Pono and I surfed yesterday with racers from France and some kooks from Hollywood:) It was pretty fun. I'll get out tomorrow at some point. We got a swell rolling in. Pono's getting his fill I'm sure.
