Why is it that just as I finish fabricating something I see how I should have designed it. Damn. Case in point, the windshield on Peyote cracked at the bend during the winter. I decided some formed aluminum patches would look kind of tasty. Two different crack angles, so I couldn't do anything symmetrical, but that's boring anyway. After I got done I took some pictures, then looked at them here at my desk and whacked myself upside the head. So obvious what I should have done. A skeleton outline for each that got the full curve of the ends of the windshield with a inner curve that covered and supported the crack. So obvious it's painful. Oh well, the holes are drilled, a bitch to change it now.
