Just got back from NS a couple of weeks ago, and caught some Hermine swell. I'm only a 4hr drive away, so I'll be heading back again soon.

I'm from Newfoundland and started surfing back there in the late 80's. We were pretty much the first ones to do so. Bay Roberts area has a couple of good breaks. Bear Cove works well on a big NE swell. New Melbourne is the spot. Southern Avalon also has some good spots.

No SUPers over there from what I hear. Planning a trip back home next year to hit all the old spots again.

Wow. There are some beautiful photos in this topic for Nova Scotia. This topic was made before I had registered to become a member on this site. Glad to see this topic from 2015 coming back to life and I ran across it.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"
