This is our second year holding " The Great Peconic Race "(A benefit for the Baykeeper )and were so excited and we hope you are too !! Please check out our web site and register ! This is an intermediate to expert level circumnavigation style event in some of the most beautiful and challenging waters in the north east. Open to SUP, Prone, OC1, Surf Ski and Kayak this 18 mile circumnavigation around Shelter Island is sure to put your skills to the test while offering the winners to take home some cash and great prizes. I've tried to register to the event today. It looks like PaddleGuru has a glitch in there system which overcharged me by few hundreds of dollars! 

I'm posting it here so folks around here wouldn't have to go through the same crap regarding the overcharge.

Please make sure to remove the link from your site until this glitch is rectified and keep us updated once  resolved, so we can register properly.

Thanks. I already got in touch with PG and described the issue. It may not be a widespread issue, maybe just certain OS/Browser combo. I had some back and forth with PG, hopefully they could nail the bug.

Anyway, I got refunded for the difference and I was contacted by Linda to make sure it was rectified. So thanks again.

What a great event!
Everyone I talked to really had fun
even though the challenging conditions.

Great organization, from volunteers
to sponsors to official authorities.
Beautiful location as well.

Definitelly coming back for next year's event.
