Surf Jones
« on: August 29, 2015, 08:43:52 AM »
I got it bad. I'm looking at Temira's forecast, SurfLies, and Magic Seaweed (the answer to "what are those guys smoking") and seeing a loverly 8 to 15' at 11 seconds. Whoopee! Fire up the truck! Oh, wait, wind at 30 gusting to 40.  Hmmm.  That's gotta be crazy mixed up storm shit.

Tomorrow, 7' at 12 seconds, wind 15 gusting to 20. Okay you Oregon Coasters, is there anywhere this is gonna work? I'm scratching my arms here.

Bill, just doing a quick recon run for you.  Looks like this early fall storm is way over hyped.  Start that ol' Leather clad rattle trap an c'mon out.   Opps, gotta join up here.

Working nights is F'ing with my pro surfing career.
If I was Covesurfer I'd be retired by now!

I'm scratching my arms here.

You're scratching, I'm icing.  Looking back on my day planner.  Tues, Wed Good, Thurs AM and PM sessions very nice, Fri AM session Good.  Adventure bike ride in the PM.  Crappy surf on the weekend is "The Best Ever"   I'm all about the Period.  If you look at the forecast for those days it didn't show much punch but the North Pacific, long swell period always seams to yield the reliable albeit occasional bomb. Also so far out you don't have to deal with the slalom course which is really staring to get old.

We might have the same gig.  Sounds Like you need a third guy, or better a fourth.

Bill you missed it last night at seaside.  Pre storm 3ft @17sec and light off shore wind.  The point was going off although we dont get to surf there . The cove was really fun but the big sets kinda closed out so you had to watch to find shoudlers.
