@eastbound,,don't worry my friend,,I'm covered in tinctures you could say I've reached total.saturation.  believe it or not it's helping a lot.  It's slowly getting rid of scar tissue and some elasticity is coming back.  It's noticeable through my ekg's and heart echos.

I'd one, an 8'10x30 or 31.  The one you saw me SUP'ed on at SanO when I left the keys in the truck had to borrow your AAA.  Fun board but way too much volume for me.  I sold it to the neighbor and he's loving it.

I'm going down to Solana Beach tomorrow to try his 8'6" X 31.  He says it rocks, turns amazing, catches waves like a dream.  Being that this is Joe Blair talking, I'm inclined to believe it.   Looking for a cruiser to use as a break from my extremely tippy 8'3 X 28 or my slightly less tippy 7'4 X 30".

Yeah Ben, that day was a trip.  Locking your keys in the car and then my goofy butt-boarder friends cornering you for a preaching session.  Really lumpy, crummy surf to boot.  Not the best day.

He is actually the one who got me to first try SUP in 2010.

Went to Joe Blair's shop in Solana Beach today.  He was totally open to letting me demo his pristine, unridden boards, so I rode a Blair 8'6 today at Cardiff Reef. Really liked it, so I went impulsive (yet again) and bought it.  Surf was waist high sets and gutless, but the board still caught the waves easily and turned really well.  I think it will be a nice relaxing board to ride as a break from my 7'4 which would have been a pill in those conditions.

I usually review my new boards here on the Zone, but since Blair is not a sponsor, I don't think it would be politic to post too much about it.  If anyone wants to know more about it, send me a PM.

I've owned Joe Blair fun board not a SUP board. It was 8'4".

The board was really durable and glassing was on point.

Wish I kept that board. Really smooth ride, and it was the only board that I rode which had a round tail.

How do you guys like Joe's domed deck on a SUP? I'm not really a fan of it.....

I've never liked domed decks in the past but there's something about Joe's boards.  The domed deck makes the 8'6 I bought surprisingly tippy for being 31.5 wide, buy I've gotten used to it and grown to like it a lot.  The domed decks make the rails sink easier, and his boards turn more tightly off the tail than I expected and also steer pretty good even when you are not right on the tail.  With a foot on a back rail, the board does cool slashing cutbacks, almost as good as my 7'4 in my profile pic.
