41yrs old. 6'1" 245lbs this is my first summer of paddle surfing. (dropped 20lbs!!so far) Started out on a Riviera 11'6" x 32" 218L progressed VERY quickly.  Currently riding a Starboard Whopper 10' x 34" 168L Fun stable board. Already looking to move down a tad.

I was out on the 8'x22"x3" Costco foamie (w/after market 7.5" single fin set up) and mixed in with the boys this morning.  Just to see if I can do it, I borrowed a paddle and caught two waves.  It was glassy and about knee to butt.

Great topic and very useful reference.
It would be better if each of the riders weights were in kgs - easier to compare with volume/liters of the boards
Sorry, didn't mean to make more work.  Still very useful overall

I'm 48, 5'10'' 190lbs (86 kgs)  Fit. Surfed in the past, but SUPing for 1 year
Starboard Widepoint 8'10, 33'' wide, 143L

Hoping to get to 120s volume board
Starboard widepoint 8'10.
I'm 5'11 and 185 = high BMI

Me:  6' 190 lbs (86kg)

Kings SS 9'2" 120L
Nectar Cinco 9' x 29" - guessing about 130L

I think 120L feels about right for me - any smaller and it becomes work.  Missing a wave because I'm on too small a board just isn't for me.
