Real time Timing + location devices for long distance race

I am involved in the organisation of our yearly Outrigger, Surfski and SUP race called The Dragon Run. Www.thedragonrun.com.hk (website is in process of being updated for this year's event on Nov 21st 2015) which is a 24km / 15mile ocean downwind race with shorter races for SUPs

This year we are considering adding a 20km /12.5mile downwind SUP race for a limited number of contestants where we will take them out to a group of Islands called Ninepins by boat and then head downwind to Stanley. At this stage it is only in the planning phase.

I am looking for advice of a real time timing + location system that we can rent for the days event as per the M2M to up our game and improve safety. We usually get around 250-300 competitors in total. Some are 2 person ski and OC.

Any pointers / suggestions are welcome.

Thanks Pete. That looks like what we are looking for. Do you rent these out for events, or do we need to buy them? I'll be in contact directly. As usual, we're on a tight budget if there is to be enough beer post race!
