Sharing just because I'm happy.

Some of you will remember that my son Ben had to have a bone marrow transplant to treat relapsed leukaemia. Well after 4 months of nasty treatment, on the 12th of June he received the stem cells. Today he is allowed of the ward for a few hours, first time out of his hospital room in 35 days!  It's looking like he will be discharged early next week.

The joy of just being outside.

Hope your son gets well.  Know a sailing friend who at age 60 had a leukemia relapse and is doing fine again after treatment.

YES!  Please update us when he is out.  I imagine he has a long list of things that he wants to do when he is sprung.

As a kid I once spent 33 days in a row in the hospital with my asthma. 
Was released the same day that all the poplar "fluff" started flying (thing I am most allergic to) - was "out" for 17 hours - then back in for another week and a half.
