Slater Trout 10'0" - Opinions

Looking at a CL deal for a Slater Trout 10'0" brand new basically for $750. I'm looking at it for noseriding and a more longboard feel to couple with my 9'2" Allwave, thoughts?

Boardworks production model or a custom? Big difference in weight and feel between the two. My fiance had the 9'0 production version for a little while and it was a fun board but on the heavy side but it surfed ok. A buddy of mine had  a 9'0 custom ST and it felt noticeably better all around. $750 isn't too bad for nearly new but I think there are better longboard SUPs out there. You should ask linter, he has been on a quest to find the perfect noserider SUP and I think he's come pretty close with one of the Jimmy Lewis models. Good luck!

I recently picked up the 9'0 version used, custom-made by Infinity.  So far I think it surfs great. 

I bet the 10'0 is more stable & catches waves even easier.  Never been on an Allwave so can't compare, but the Trout is a great longboard shape & the one I have carves really well actually.

Yeah I'm trying to demo it, the nose looks a bit narrow for noseriding, and that's my main worry.

I have a 10 ft custom trout arriving in a few weeks.  Will let you know what I think after I spend some time on it.
