That does look great.  It has been pretty flat in Santa Cruz on the days I have gone out the past couple of weeks.

Since catching waves is a statistical phenomenon, it also seems I hit a negative node of failed attempts.  Even when everybody else was catching, I was failing, getting thrown off by kelp etc.

The wave gods gave me about four nice rides at the end of yesterday's session, though, to keep me stoked.

Great show of stoke!  Lots of smiles out there, even on the proner behind you.

And nice work with the paddle mount.  I've given that up after getting so little usable footage.

The product placements are to thanks your sponsors? ;)

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Another great vid, DJ. It's been flat, flat, flat on the east coast of Florida all summer long, not even a hint of a whisper of an ankle high bump. Video hit the spot. Thanks.
PS. Heading to Costa Rica next month.

Ha.. Not sure I'd call myself sponsored..  :) .. The fin shots at the end were to show that I've supported Rob Piros (Von Piros) and bought his new  VP 6 fin finset that gives lots of different combinations.. and he's a good friend.. Plus Balin leashes are made just up the road from that spot and the owner the (Jon Wilson) is another good friend.. So.. I'd like to thank all my sponsors in my vid (even though I pay for them).. Like Suzuki Swift.. Naish boards.. Kialoa paddles.. Rail Saver Pro.. VP fins and Balin leashes.. My Sunny King SUP's hat (another friend) was a freebee so maybe I should be thanking them the most..  8)

DJ how many views do you reckon you have had over all your videos?  I think that's gold to naish and kialoa. Gotta be worth something.
