Board Peeing
« on: June 28, 2015, 01:29:02 PM »
How do you pee out in the lineup? I just stand there and soil myself while talking to a hottie. I then make it a point to wipeout on the next wave. Sometimes I think that I'm summonsing the Landlord from afar, so I usually paddle away from my oilslick. TMI?

Peeing while talking to a Hottie is a indication of performance anxiety.
Oil slicks are a sure sign of it...

It is a problem, especially on downwinders or dawn patrol sessions that run to lunch. I'm pretty sure that when people see me spending too much time in the water with that look of relief on my face, they know what's happening. When I'm out in the middle of the Columbia, all by myself, I huck up one pant leg and have at it. Unfortunately I've recently had a very young, young lady come up behind me and say "Hi Bill!!" while I was in the middle of writing my name in temporary ink on my bullet 17. I don't think I'll be able to do that again for several months. I believe they call that Paruresis, though it may refer to a restroom rather than a river.

I paddle in, shower, change, load my gear then drive to the nearest Dunkin Donuts and use the restroom...or just warm my wetsuit...... ::)

I had that problem last year during a long (19 mile) race out at Shelter Island off Long Island. The first time I got off my board in the shallows and about five people passing by asked me, “Are you okay?”

“No, I'm just urinating here, okay!” Actually, I didn't say that. I just acted like I was adjusting my leash or something.

Again, after the third hour and all that drinking, I seriously had to pee. I was in choppy conditions between two points, sort of a downwinder (or a downbreezer), and man did I have to go. There was nobody around and I just peed while I was paddling. I fell off in the chop a couple of times afterwards, so it was no big deal.

If you're not peeing all over yourself, you're not really surfing.

I wear a wetsuit year round. I pee before I go out or if bad enough I come in. I also have a jar to pee in
with privacy. It gets poured out in the bushes.
I do not pee in my wetsuit. It smells bad enough with out the urine.

No wetsuit I just jump in the water and smile.

No pee and your in.

Glad they don't have pee patrols out there, I'd be arrested and fined every session.

This reminds me of once when I rented a canoe from a really sleazy place, and after only a few minutes out it started taking on water.  So I called the rental place on my cell phone and said "I gotta leak in my canoe!" and the guy said, "Go ahead".

Thought this thread was about paint flaking off a board, or maybe the pad coming off.  Think I need new glasses.

Peeing is easy  Pinching a loaf in the water-that's a challenge. Gotta hope its not a floater.  Surfers have no sense of humor.
