Hi, I've just had a quick look and from what I gather I think that Abersoch could be a good bet for you. It's west from Porthmadog on the Llyn Peninsular and has a few places that offer SUP hire or lessons e.g. Offaxis and Abersoch Sailing School and I think there's also a surf shop there too. I'm from South Wales and not familiar with the area but it's a beautiful stretch of coast!
Have a great trip!

Welcome to my part of the world.

Abersoch for hire is an option as is Llanberis for a lake paddle. Rhosneigr up on Anglesey will also have some SUP hire available.

Some cracking beaches await you from Abersoch or Rhosneigr. So many options it's a bit daft to be honest.

Everybody in Wales must have tongue cramps from pronouncing the language.  Maybe that's why they are such great singers.

I used to windsurf in Rhosneigr back in the 80s. It's an awesome beach, and in the right conditions had some great waves too.

Cranking (for Wales in summer) swell coming in just now.  Like the others have suggested Abersoch is the place.  The guys at West Coast surf have been helpful in the past, not sure if they hire SUP's, but they will know where does.  They also do a surf report.  Hell's Mouth is, despite the name, lovely can get busy but lots of space to spread out.  Lots to explore on Anglesey, as Non Noo says Rhosneigr is a god place to start.
Lots to do in Snowdonia.  Some great MTBing centres which hire bikes if thats your thing.

yeah for waves Hells Mouth well it's actually called Porth Neigwl is the main surf beach in the area and picks up the Atlantic swells. There's a couple of others too - Porth Ceiriad, plus a few others that are a bit more of a challenge to get to. Anglesey (Ynys Mon) main surf beach is Rhosneigr which again picks up the SW swells. There are other options if the swell comes more from a northerly direction too.

For this coming week though it all looks like the beaches that face SW are building up.
