Man, I proposed to my Wife on a paddle board as well, although she won't be surfing, much to my dismay. ;)

Married life is amazing and I'm so happy for you two.  This thread has the happiest endings of all, a great board and a new chapter of life. Congrats.

I have had a few surfs on this board now and loving it however when it's choppy it does at the moment get quite tiering so I just cut myself one the same but 7'4 x 28 for winter use I allso cut a 7'10 x 29 for my other half who has been after her own board for a long time.

How does this "vent trick" work? Or how would it work if you were using s leash plug from Greenlight that has the vent built into it?

That vent trick is good. I just re-did the deck of mine and it's smooth and glassy. Ah, now just gotta get that bottom done and I can put some fins in it.

Keep this thread going man. I need to see some more fin installs before I do mine. ;)

Ha Ha! Well good for you! When a newlywed I was told by an old salt, "In this war, son, you'd best start off as general....cause there ain't no promotions."  Great looking boards! And I'll reiterate. Your better half picked a winner in you. All the best!

just had a bit of a set back, apparently they have stopped making the lokbox canard quads/speed dialer that i have been running in my boards so I'm going to have to look for something else to run and use different boxes, i was wondering about using pro box but i need to have the board done by next week so don't think i could get them in time so will have to go with ether fsc or futures. I have seen futures now do a smaller version of the of the controller but that is about the only option i can find thats similar and will have to find out if they are even available.  If any one has seen anything similar in what ever system please let me know.

if you need an FCS fusion jig...let me know. Also, I thought you were gonna give the Vnet a miss this time?

cheers I have gone with the futures this time so hope they will be a good replacement. I had a small amount of the net to use up so stuck it on this to make a matching pair of boards, I don't think I will be getting it again.

SupUk!!! Those are great looking boards!!! Just read this thread and wow! What a setup and process you have going. And I'm really happy to hear of the 'wet feet' stability connection. My board is (according to the guy who sold it to me) between 88-92 liters. I'm 155 lb., 70 kg, feet almost dry standing in center. I've only been SUP'ing maybe 6 weeks, but I can see how thinner rails would really help in hollow surf. From a regular surfing background, 6' 10" x 29 wide is a huge board for me. I've had gun boards up to 10' 4" x 22 wide, but always rode fairly thin otherwise. "But enough about me... what do you think of me?" Hahaha! O.K. Incredible looking boards, congratulations on the engagement, looks like a huge win! And thanks for the good input on stability with water over the deck.

Just got back from a Cornwall trip and scored some great waves, the 7'4 behaves as expected and is a nice little step up from its smaller brother the 7'2. I had it in some solid head high waves and it held its own very well considering its more for the slightly smaller mushy stuff. Speed a plenty and still has a nice back side snap. I was using the controllers as I had a problem with the seaworthys that I got sent and it felt like it could do with a little less fin so just trying to see what I can sort on that front. My other half also got out on her new board and seamed to live it so all good on that front. Hopfully a few pics to come as soon as I can get them from a friend.
