Great Exuma, Bahamas!?!
« on: June 05, 2015, 08:15:01 PM »
The wifey and I are jetting out of here this Xmas! Wahoooo!  :D 8) :D 8)

Anyone been to Great Exuma, Bahamas? Or the surrounding cays??

We are spending 8 days. Rented a 1 bedroom cottage on the beach.

Early plan is to rent a boat, spearfish, snorkel, paddle board, swim with pigs and nurse sharks and RELAX!!!

Pending winds I will also do some kiteboarding or scuba.

I haven't been on a plane in nearly 3 years - hoping this trip is a catalyst to start traveling again!!!

Dude, that's gonna be a great trip. Keep the camera handy above and below water.

How was your trip? I've got to go to a wedding in Nassau in November, and planning to spend some days in Exuma or Eleuthera, kiting, paddling, snorkeling, etc.

Sweet.

Our trip was excellent. More relaxing than we had planned but just what the doctor ordered. I was disappointed in the snorkeling for sure but our stay was great. Lazy but great. I did not see any paddle board rentals but did see literature. The beaches were empty and the island quiet (except during Junkanoo) just as we like.

Eleuthera, with hopes off some surf, is the next Bahamas island we are planning to visit.
