I just landed in Santa Cruz with no expectation of surfing when I got my place here.

However, I have heard several guys who live here say it is a pretty good "one place serves all" on balance compared to the many places they have surfed around Latin America and the Pacific.  I think I read that Pleasure Point has surf-able waves over 300 days of the year on average.
