Well went for my first whitewater sup adventure. The Tuckasegee river in NC from the Cedar Cliff Dam. Its a great river, we waited for the dam release and when it came the river rose from 6" to 4.5 feet and it was a rushing fun time. Learned the white water signs and the boulder and ledge action.
My only problem is the board I was using (a Bote Drift inflatable) was great until its fin hit the rocks and I would go flying or hit my knees. I tried to stand in the forward section of the board to lift the fin out but it still stopped me. I need a soft flex fin for my next trip. Anyone know of a good flex fin?

I just completed a 50 day straight run of SUP everyday, thanks to Florida in the winter!

Check these out:

Or go finless! I use a Streetfighter with a flip up skeg

Hope you had a helmet if you kept going over the handle bars.

How long/wide is your board? Get something around 9' and 33"-"36 wide.
