And Dumb I am...

Crack of dawn 4-22 and 4-23-2015

Took Zoo a while to set up the Solo Shot2, not too long though..

Learning new video editing software so it took almost a month to produce...

Great vid - enjoyed the waves and the different perspective.  (What's your weight if you don't mind me asking - that 100 ltr board looks like it is almost sinking.  You must have great balance!)

It is interesting how different the wave looks through the GoPro lens compared to the other video.

Great video. What software you learning Ralph?

If anyone ever has to sync cams and wants to do it easily, turn on the cams, shoot a watch with a second hand or display at the same time and don't ever turn them off. Sync them once and cut between them. We do it in TV all the time til we get real TimeCode on less expensive cams.

It was a mutually beneficial situation to shoot those vids of Ralph.  I had just cut my hand pretty bad on my Jammer fin and gotten 5 stitches.  Out of the water for 10 days.  I had also just gotten my SoloShot a week before that and those things are a little tricky to figure out.  (You can see me get it dialed as the framing improves).  Ralph and I did that little project in two surf sessions and I spent the whole time tweaking with the SoloShot and camera settings.  It was cool; he got some pretty nice footage and I got the SoloShot figured out pretty well.  In fact, I developed a pretty accurate system that's not covered in the documentation for getting the zoom set properly.  Nice surfing Ralph!

S-P and Zoo. That is amazing (getting the two to sync). No wonder it took so long to edit. Really great to see though. Some great combo action shots! Thanks for sharing  :)

I like many things about it...

Also like the Sims, Starby's and the Hokua's

If we do video's riding different boards then we will really have some comparative analysis.

Agree.  The GoPro makes it look like not much of a wave at all, but then seeing the wave from the beach vantage point you get the real perspective.  Great idea syncing the two.

Hmmm, SoloShot, Phantom and deckmount GoPro combo vid.  Sounds interesting.  Maybe I'll paddle out too and use my mouth mount camera for a 4th angle.  Let's do it.
