Very cool.

At an earlier part of my life I would definitely have considered doing that.  My body could never take that kind of punishment now.

Wow express how you really feel.  Luckily for these guys this event is in South Africa so I guess they don't need to worry about it being illegal in most the U.S.
On another note, I've been known to do retarded things every day of my life ;D

This stuff looks pretty cool.

Here is a full sized link to the Jet-ski surf footage.  I wish they were all shooting at 1080P:

Opps nothing personal!  Just have a lot of friends that have devoted a lot of recourses to this and have been shunned by the "soda makers"  or "poison pushers" for $$$.... It's  a log story. lets just say I'm no stranger to being hated in the surf... so that makes me perfect for SUS...  Beash thanks for the proper link.... You da man!

God that looks beyond retarded.

I have a Dux Hammerhead tunnel hull flato with a 40HP...the first time we got air at a mysto offshore reef break I 'bout sh*t myself!...;-)
It definitely takes skill and cojones...helmets (brain buckets) are a good idea...
I've learned to throttle it back...so, I reckon I'm only mildly retarded...;-)

simple reason why those would never be popular in the US--not enough horsepower:

This is in NZ, but I recently saw a race in Oregon. some of the boats were over 900 HP

And they need those rollbars... its probably the only water sport where you end up rolling across land.

These previous videos are fine if you want to limit yourself to two dimensions... but if you really want to get out there, this is the way to go... watch in 1080p  or if you have a 4k monitor 2160p  startling clarity.

Very cool. they've upgraded the motors substantially since the first wing. Those are still RC Model turbines, but they look like Jetcat P200's. Five grand apiece, but they deliver 50+ pounds of thrust each. No wonder they cam climb with some authority now.
