Sunday Flatwater paddle - did NOT suck :D
« on: May 18, 2015, 03:59:50 PM »
The morning was brisk at 6:30am -  34f - I wore my polar fleece vest ....

As the sun got higher it warmed to almost a 50! beastly hot.....

First part of the morning, "steam" on the water, before the breeze started picking up....

a less-zoomed pic attatched - you can see the mountains beyound better  ...you know, I just realized - I don't know the name of that peak - too small to be important, I guess. I'm sure it's got a name, just no commonly used among the locals.

When I have time - I'll have to fess up on what I was paddling, and how I liked it....I'll say, it wasn't 1/2 bad....

Wow! Wonderful scenery. Where are you paddling?

My easy access paddle spot is Cottonwood Lake here in the Matanuska Valley in Southcentral Alaska.

You have a special place there Mud. In a place as beautiful and uncrowded as that, I would paddle nice and slow. Just take it all in.  Lucky.....

BTW, paddle what you have, and enjoy it.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Ya I picked one up this winter on sale . Even with really nasty shipping to Alaska it was about 200 of the sticker. BIG board. Comfy to ride on when you are out of shape and the water  is very cold. I need to write a real review of it . The only really bad thing I can say is it takes a LOTv of pumping. It is a lot of volume.
