Aaahhhhh, that's nice
« on: April 22, 2015, 08:17:19 AM »
Woke up to sunny, head high surf. Wind was sideshore, so instead of going to the few overcrowded points, I went all the way down the coast to the best south wind spot I could think of. The tide was waaaaay out, there was not another surfer anywhere to be seen, and the surf was clean.
I was in my 4/3, booties, and no gloves or hood. April in New Hampsha is so rejuvenating. That feeling of a good session with no one out in head high surf...

Had a similar experience in little rhodie this am, got there around 7am and nobody out, enjoyed a good hour of waist high waves with the occasional head to overhead bombs. Wind started picking up onshore around 8:30, called it a good start to the day and went to work.

Shawn, you're going to have to show me where that spot is sometime. It sounds like the place to be on a day like today. I had to work today.

Hey check out my new Jimmy Lewis boards over on the Review page. I'd like you to test ride them sometime and tell me what you think.

Hey, thanks guys!
Badger and Don- we should plan a Great Bay to Ocean paddle this spring/summer. We can even look to leave from downtown Exeter with the outgoing tide on the Swamscott. Let's look at the middle/end of May?

Exeter to Odiorne Point = 21 miles.

An easy and fun run with the current. Count me in.
