Surfing the Odysseus.
« on: April 17, 2015, 11:52:58 AM »
I am about to teach a friend to surf their new surfing sup and I had offered them to use my big Odysseus for their first couple of surf sessions thinking the added stability might give them more confidence at moving their feet and help with catching their very first waves.. So.. I thought I better check that this big stable-table of a board actually does surf ok so I tried it out yesterday.. I'm thinking the channels and conclaves on the bottom must not only help with stability and tracking of this very wide board but they must help unstick it from the water promoting very early planing.. It was awesome and surfed great..  :)

Nice. Reminds me of my BigFoote. Same benefit--handles great, surfs great, max fun.

guys,

I'm a BIG guy and have ridden the ODysseus in the surf numerously It's NOT a shredder BUT... replacing the stock fin with a small rear fin It actually surfs better and even works w/o fin too

It can actually nose rides in proper condition ... Never rode it in Head high or above waves
