It's getting clearer, now that it's over-ish

My body was simply trying to survive the Northeast Ice Age.

it's all good now.... downright toasty!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

linter.... it's safe for northern migration.

Just checked the buoys, a balmy 40 degrees on the Mass Bay and Boston Buoy :)
I'm still detoxing from my strict winter regiment of IPA's and Chinese hot pot soup. Strange how my first stop when storm shopping was always the packy. Along with a little cross country skiing and tons of shoveling, I'm totally ready for paddle season, if I don't pass out trying to get a wetsuit on I should be fine, a finely honed machine. Actually I'm getting a little dizy while typing this, think it's time for a nap...

I don't think that's it Creek. I spent the winter in Maui and I look like an Orca.

Ah ha, I feel so much better now.
Got on a scale last weekend, discovered I'd put on 10% weight gain this winter.
Yikes.  SUP - "standup, pillsbury!"  :o

After this winter, I'm thinking all NE SUP races might need to add a racer weight division instead of age !!
Infinity RNB 8'2
Ron House 9'7
Ron House 10'7
Infinity New Deal 10'
Custom Infinity New Deal 10'
VEC 11'
Focus Bluefin 14'

The good news  (for me) is now that the water is a balmy 40 and the air a sometimes 60.... my primal grip on fat has eased and I'm down 15 and dropping steadily again. Whew!

I live in a Adelaide, driest state in the driest country is frequently repeated around here though its probably not true. Its hard to comprehend the cold you guys talk about.  Everyone starts whining if we get down to 10degrees Celsius, 0 degrees overnight the whole place stops.
Hats off to the way you ice sup'ers stick at, paddling around ice flows, just amazing.
Its cooling off around here now, water temp is 15degrees C, ocean is empty of surfers, no crowds......fantastic.  Just need some decent waves ;D
Cheers,
DK

Needing to go primal isn't bad.  Bad is needing to go metric.

Enough of the NE winter. I got between 15 and 20 cm of snow since Tuesday evening.
Went from 15 degrees C to -4 degrees C in a few hours. Should be back to 10-15 degrees C by today.
 :)
