Great vid  NXLVL....ripping with style and the camera work was excellent.
That vid showed off the board well... too bad you didn't put the board info in the clip.... older JL?
Thanks... lets see more ;D

It looks like a JL Mano, an older model now out of production.

Ake G  went by Liquid Dreams today and Mark said he has the Kwad and some World Wides on order probably to be there mid to late April.  I dropped off my 8'7" Naish X32 LE for Mark to sell.  I will probably swap the Naish of new Kwad or WW….
Hobie Raw 8'10"
Jimmy Lewis Kwad 8'7"

I'm telling you, from these vids clearly showing the rear foot placement, these JLs turn like crazy easy.  They are on to something over there.  My shortboard , from a top shaper, requires extreme on tail block and side to side rear foot movement to turn - if not, it's a dog.  The ease of these JLs looks so effortless surfy and carvey.

Oh no.  I am starting to get that terrible feeling of not having the one board I really need.  And I just convinced my wife that that was the story about the last board I got :o

I've had the Stun Gun 9'2 X 30.25 for about a month now and have been really happy with it. I just switched from tri fin to Futures GL2 quads last week and now I like it even better. It's a little less stable than I had hoped. I kind of wish it was 31" wide. I don't think that would hinder it at all.

I've yet to ride a World Wide but I'm thinking of buying one soon, once the shops get them. To me they appear to be very similar to the Stun Guns. I actually think they might have been inspired by the Stun Gun. The noses and tails are similarly very thinned out and both carry the volume forward of center. The World Wides look to me like a shorter wider version of the Stun Gun.

The Stun Gun steers very well without having to be back on the tail all the time. You can see this forward stance also on the World Wides in the videos. Their front foot is sometimes forward of the handle. I think that's the big difference between these and a lot of other boards.

The World Wides have slightly less rocker and more width to the nose than the Stun Gun but very different in the ass section....much wider and better for average waves. You'll find virtually all JL surf sups are nicely thinned out in the tail.....he keeps the volume where you need it :D.

I have been remiss in writing a review on my 8'2" JL Stun Gun with the requirements of wife, kid, and job; however, I will throw in a couple relevant comments.  I am 43, 6'1" and 175 lbs.  Compared to my 8'5" Naish Hokua the JL can be surfed and turned from anywhere on the board.  On the Naish I have to be on the tail.  The JL is much faster and carries speed better.  The JL also has a very flowing surf feel, which you can see in the videos.  On the Naish I felt like I had maxed out the board performance and on the JL I feel like I am making sections and waves I wouldn't have made before.  As my friend who rides the same board put it, "it surfs more rad!"  I am looking forward to trying one of the JL Super Techs.
Me:  6'1" x 180
Board(S): Axis foils: HPS 980, BSC 740, 810, ART 899, 999
Jimmy Lewis Wing Board 4’10” x 23 x 71L
Rawson 7’8” x 26”
Jimmy Lewis Stun Gun 8'2" x 28.3/4 x 99L
Naish Hokua 8'5" x 28 x 115L

That's a good board it looks like he was too far out at first, maybe a little too high tide?

Just been liking your pics on Jimmy's Facebook page.....great surfing!
Thanks bro
