Courtesy of breezer King of the point. Sorry if you don't like the go pro but another take on the JLs in action. They look real nice.

Hey surfin J, thanks so much for posting.. I lived in Perth back in 1985 and 1986 and surfed Geraldton a couple of times.  Brings back wonderful memories...not only the surf, but the long journey north
Those JL s look sweet too

Would love to but I was also viewing from afar. I'm hunkered down in holland for work, 0630 and only coffee. Outside is rain going sideways. Sunny OZ looks nice from here.

What looks sweet to me is the ease at which the JLs turn. He doesn't need to move his back foot to the tail pad to still get some nice carves. Might need a new board 8)

That's a good board it looks like he was too far out at first, maybe a little too high tide?

Just been liking your pics on Jimmy's Facebook page.....great surfing!

Kamalino.... yup.... seems like the board goes a tad better with a ripper on it. Sweet shots ;D

J.... that video is the best I have seen to show how well the WW surfs.... he is really good with his paddle mount... and showed the smooth power and speed of both boards.

I'm thinking the bigger Blue World Wide is going to be like my old 9'6" Prowave....nothing in the nose and tail and too thick in the middle with chunky rails.

I got sucked in by the slick photography featuring the smallest board in the Prowave line thinking they all looked that way.

Somebody convince me this World Wide won't be corky.

AkeG I am wondering the same thing. I briefly owned the 8'11" Allwave as a back up board and hated it.  Too wide, chunky, slow especially coming from my 8'11" x 29" Hobie Raw.

I have been riding the Jimmy Lewis 8'7" x 29" Kwadd and absolutely love it.  I left that board down in the Caribbean and now hunting for a new board for my quiver and debating over another Kwad or the World Wide.  I fear the 31" width of the WW will disappoint me.  I really like fast, loose boards and don't want a shape that would hold me back

These latest Jimmy Lewis videos are encouraging though, the boards looke very loose on those waves.

Decisions, decisions....

Yeah Don Caribe....guess we just have to make an educated guess when one of these show up.

Maybe Mark A gets one first and he lets one of us take a ride before buying  ::)

I'm not so sure of my SUP skills and decision making ability these days as I've had more than my share of lemons. ;) in the board department

Because of my size/weight I always pop on the biggest performance sup in any given line....and realize after a few surfs that I should have gone smaller (or with something else altogether) Not as smart as I think I am.

I've had the Stun Gun 9'2 X 30.25 for about a month now and have been really happy with it. I just switched from tri fin to Futures GL2 quads last week and now I like it even better. It's a little less stable than I had hoped. I kind of wish it was 31" wide. I don't think that would hinder it at all.

I've yet to ride a World Wide but I'm thinking of buying one soon, once the shops get them. To me they appear to be very similar to the Stun Guns. I actually think they might have been inspired by the Stun Gun. The noses and tails are similarly very thinned out and both carry the volume forward of center. The World Wides look to me like a shorter wider version of the Stun Gun.

The Stun Gun steers very well without having to be back on the tail all the time. You can see this forward stance also on the World Wides in the videos. Their front foot is sometimes forward of the handle. I think that's the big difference between these and a lot of other boards.

AKE G I am cozy at home.  My 4/3 and 5 mm booties and gloves are no match for the 36 degree water and current wind chill..in another 15 degrees water and 20 degrees air I will be out there

Too windy for me this morning. Around 20 mph at Jenness. The waves look ride-able though.

great morning session..pretty cool video shown from many perspectives.  I especially like the camera trailing you showing down the line I thought maybe the cam was attached to your leash plug, but it was on the paddle.

is that the Stun Gun you are surfing? you were turning like it was effortless...
