Training for longer races/paddles without neglecting the family

All sorts of awesome stuff here. I have been trying to do more interval stuff, whether on the water or on a skateboard with a land paddle (sometimes I cant get out until the kids are asleep) and longer stuff on the weekends. In the one race I have done since this AI have felt pretty darn good. Fortunately I also have a month off before my big goal race for the summer. Thanks for all the advice
