Man, you could eat a sandwich on that wave, and wash it down with a beer. That RSP looks fabulous on the yellow board. I'm doing the custom Footes tomorrow.  Same tape--the black and white.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

That's why my Nalu will never leave my quiver. The board was made for that wave. DJ you are having too much fun..
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

RSPro is benefiting from the best kind of marketing: A truly superior product.

People fall in love with the stuff and want their friends to know about it.

Don't ever pull it off. It doesn't do much to soften the hits. If your rails are susceptible to chipping they'll look like beavers attacked them. I don't like spending 60 bucks for RSPro either, but the rails don't chip under it--it does soften and spread impact. To the point that I've pulled it off numerous times to switch to other boards or do ding repair, and then used the same tape again--over and over. I consider the stuff to be a more permanent purchase than the board it's on. Recently I sold a board and I took the RSPro off and transfered it to another.

Here is a rail saver that's been on for well over a year.

Diggin' that Led Zep tune DJ!  Sounds just like the original studio version?

Count me squarely in the RSPro corner. Stuff really is worthwhile. It's relieved me of that psychic pain I used to feel every time I smacked my rail with the paddle.

Like Pono says this stuff is unreal for removing and reapplying!  Whacked the rail of my King's yesterday riding a wave - hard enough that the damage would have been much worse without the RSP there.  Got home, peeled back the RSP, and repaired the ding.  Woke up this am, sanded and cleaned it up, replaced the RSP and good as new.  I do use a heat gun (low setting) when putting it back on to "activate" the adhesive a bit.

I don't think you need to use heat. Even the leading edge of the tape, where I lifted it and got my fingers all over the adhesive, sticks down after a little time. It was flapping up at first. I pushed it down hard but it still wiggled, so I thought maybe I'd put a little 3M spray glue on it. when I got back with the spray it was stuck down. I think it knew what I was going to do. That's some really whacky adhesive.
