Very nice. A lot more pulled in in the nose and tail than your last ride.  Do you have a specific location or wave type for your new ride? It definitely looks sporty. Please post updates as it comes along. And to the more important, operative question....does your wife get a new ride, too? :D

This is for those glassy days with a little punch. No, surfsup-chick doesn't get another new one her latest one is a good all arounder for her. She likes 1 board at a time and I like as many as I can afford.

Looks like a very fun board TW,  You're quiver is a useful one.
(I don't know if you have access to your other CAD files for the other boards but I'd love to see them and hear your thoughts on how all of them fit the waves you ride)

Me too! Seeing everyone's spectrum I think would be an interesting thread for us all.

That's a beaut, Tom.  Love the flamed graphics on the rails.   The board looks nice and I'll bet it rocks.  Looking forward to a ride report.

I had the board out at Dogpatch this evening. Shoulder high and fun. The board RIPS!
Super happy with it. Very fast paddler, great wave catcher and FAST FAST FAST. Just a dream to ride. It was a little wonky chop wise but even I was stable on it. Looking forward to some good surf.

I used a very flat mid board rocker with a slight single concave and double concaves inside of the single. Pronounced rocker in the last 16" with double concave V. The nose rocker is fairly subtle with a slight kick way up front. Everything seemed to work as planned. I'll be keeping this file as a "go to" for boards of this type and adjust length\width as needed.

8-11 X 32 Double wing Fangtail Tom Whitaker

Do you shape the entire thing by hand, or do you have someone use robotics to do the rough shaping?

Robots but I have to tell the little buggers what to do. I have Procam doing the cutting and they are PRECICE. My fine sanding doesn't take long. A lot of these boards is getting the fins in the right place as much as how the board is shaped and designed.

Nice looking board Mr. TW. I've always admired shapers.

Is the wide point more than 2 inches forward of center?
