Hey man I understand.  My Daughter successfully went through a cancer experience and is now in survivor ship.  In fact I am writing this from the hospital right now because she had a scare in which one of the possible outcomes could have been a recurrence.  Luckily she is fine, but I always go out on the waves whether small or big and think how can anyone not feel blessed and content to be out here on the ocean riding waves and not stressed out about what life brings.  I never understood how people can get all stressed out in the line up for any reason.  Good luck and prayers go out to you and your son I understand the sinking feeling you get every time you drive to the treatment center or hospital for chemo.

Cheers Garmize, glad you daughter is all good. The sinking feeling must come back every time they get sick after treatment.

Found out today we have a donor...an Aussie guy...Ben is worried he's going to have to cheer for them in the Rugby!!!

(Imagine a Canadian cheering for the US hockey team)

The sinking feeling never goes away.  I played rugby for 9 years although in the US so i understand the difference.  I am happy for your good news.  Your son sounds like a tough kid and will battle his way through the journey.

Cheers;  and may all the luck in the world be on your side.

I got the opposite experience today in the lineup. I thought I was getting the stinkeye from a couple of proners at first.

Then I hear "Hey man...." (oh boy here it comes)... "am I getting in your way?" Took me by surprise. I said no worries I'm keeping an eye out.

These guys kept dropping in on me but I just maneuvered around them. After that they started to yield when I was going for a wave.
