Unconventional but it gets the job done, and it's paid for

Been thinking about racks on the top of the Lazy Daze for awhile, but didn't want to drill holes in a leak free coach. Nor did I want to muscle big, heavy sups to the top.  Built some racks for my utility trailer and tried it out this weekend. Perfect!

Bosun, the Lazy Daze rule. Love the interiors on those.

Check out WarDog's rear racks that he used to have. (there's a thread on here somewhere. They attach to the hitch and hold the boards upright. Great idea.. unless you have a 14' er. ;)

SC,
I've seen Wardog's pics of the rear rack. Like the idea, even measured to see how much the 14' Shaka would extend above the roof. Too much :)

This photo was taken out front of Wardog's shop where I picked up the pink board for my wife, a 11' 1" one world.  Great shop to work with!

When surfing locally I use the Honda Rancher and Mule trailer which is perfect for our little island.  I put car tires on which last much longer on cement roads than the nubby off road wheels it came with.     It doesn't have indicators so I can't drive it on the mainland (St.Vincent), but it is legal and licensed for Bequia.

I got tired of the cheap roof racks I had on  the car, so I broke down and just bought these ladder racks in hopes I'll be able to ride this summer .

Had some xtra hydro turf lying around and got the tops padded.

can't wait to get out and start paddling again.

Here's mine today before a Meet Up that I lead. i work with the local Naish rep, so we the group to demo a few different boards. The kayak style stacker rack allows for carrying more stuff on top.  The car is 06' and has had the back latch repaired once for salt corrosion.
