2015 Jimmy Lewis World Wide?
« on: January 08, 2015, 12:19:44 PM »

I'm going to a shorter board this year and the new World Wide 8' 5" looks perfect. I trust Jimmy to create a great board.

Has anyone ridden one yet?

I'd like to hear any pros or cons before I put my money down on one.

That is a sweet looking board and many size/width options to choose from.  You might check with Sup the Creek, he's anxious to pick one of these up and has been investigating them for a while….

well.... the con is:
they are not here yet ;D

I really am stoked to see one in person, they do look like the tick all the boxes for a guy like me.

I got the best info from this video....
ha ha... but why????  They are just carrying it around in a stupid apartment building ::)

Well..... because it is a better way to see the board from every angle, than any Builders info sheet  ;D

Yeah Creek, that is a good video for checking out the board, and that's the 8' 5" too. The tail looks really thin. It's a sharp looking board. I'm liking it even more.

Dave and Phil from CR are down at Surf Expo right now. Phil was supposed to check them out for me.  Actually they might be back already. I expect the new boards will arrive at the shop sometime in March or April.

I'll stop in there tomorrow morning and see what's up.

Man Creek, that video brought back memories of living on the 14th floor of a Waikiki highrise and getting a 10 footer out to Kaisers.  I should have been a Geometrist instead of a Geologist.  ;)

Dave and Phil will be back from Surf Expo on Sunday with all the latest.

I'll try to find out how many they're getting. Some models go fast depending on how many they order and they can only order more if the distributor has them in the warehouse.

Caribe...
I think it was simply to demonstrate that you can get this SUP into your apartment in japan.
If you can't get it up stairs and in elevators, you have no place to keep it.

I suspect that a big factor in buying a SUP in Japan.

A few of these being surfed over in Europe and a chap,I know in Ireland has one. Loves it. They look very user friendly but thinned out nicely where you want it.

I reckon STC should get one and do one of his great reviews. I also like the look of the 9 2 Stun Gun by JL....reckon that will go fast!

I wish the Jimmy Lewis website had better pics and information about the boards. They really need to get on the ball with that. It's very frustrating when researching boards and there is no good info or decent pics to be found anywhere.

Really, how difficult is it to take a few good pics and maybe a video, and the little paragraph someone wrote about each board doesn't even tell us anything useful.

I guess it's possible that Jimmy's boards sell so well that they don't need to increase sales but they owe it to the customers to provide us with the info we need when shopping for a new board.
