SUP The Mag "reviews"

I will occasionally buy another SUP mag if I happen to see one...getting rare these days...and it has to have a really compelling story in it.  Don't get me wrong, I like good stories and info......but that's why I'm here. As I write this I have just about every SUJ mag there is about 20" from my right hand. I pull out a random issue frequently and browse...some of the pics still give chicken skin and the mind surfing begins. I was looking at one just the other day...Vol16, #4....back when it was Surf & Sail Standup Journal. It has a pic of Bill Foote getting ready to do a Maliko with the Maui crew on a board later to be known as Gumby..... I still can't believe Pono painted a fugly giant Gumby on the nose of such a great board.....
It also has a great Darrel Wong heli-shot pic of Alan Cadiz rocking on an F-18...that brought a particular smile because I have a CD of all the pics taken that day that Mark R gave Bill that he gave to me and I made a somewhat weird little youtube vid of the sequence with Alan....

 Clay, I guess I'm in the minority, because I usually read the stories more than once, especially if it's a good story. I'll definitely read it a couple of times if there's stuff for me to learn.
